I graduated from the Mayborn Graduate School at the University of North Texas with a Master’s in Journalism in August 2012. My studies focused on Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Social Media Management, and Integrated Marketing Communications.
During my graduate studies, I also worked as a research assistant for Dr. Sheri Broyles at the Mayborn School, and contributed to an article for the Journal of Advertising Education in Spring 2012. I also served as a graduate teaching assistant for an undergraduate advertising class where I got my first taste of being called “ma’am” by students only a few years my junior.
I currently work in Public Relations at an agency in Dallas that specializes in travel and leisure, tourism, and lifestyle brands. I like to consider myself a word nerd, gadget enthusiast, board game extraordinaire and a proud and native Texan!
